McDowell Savours Famous US Open Win At Pebble Beach

Northern Irelands Mcdowell says his career is now up and running after securing a famous win at the legendary US golf course Pebble Beach.

Mcdowell started the final round 3 shots off the leader Dustin Johnson and held his nerve throughout the final 18 holes to end Europes 40 year wait for a winner at the US Open.

This victory lifts Graeme Mc Dowell from 37th to 13th in the world rankings and elevates him as only the second Northern Irishman to win a major, following Fred Daly’s Open title back in 1947.

Lets hope this famous victory will inspire more youngsters into the sport and help Europe claim many more titles in the future.
